Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati is seeking dedicated and reliable Substitute Teachers to support student learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy working with students in a diverse, supportive school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow lesson plans and classroom procedures provided by the regular teacher

  • Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment

  • Support student learning and classroom engagement

  • Take attendance and manage classroom behavior effectively

  • Communicate any concerns or notes to school staff at the end of the day

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly and work with students of varying grade levels

  • Must meet all state and school substitute requirements
