At Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati, we are proud to celebrate the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our CYSP (Concept Young Scholars Program) scholars. This year's CYSP Awards Ceremony was a heartwarming and inspiring event that highlighted the transformative experiences our students shared throughout the year.
The ceremony recognized the dedication and achievements of our scholars, who were awarded medals in honor of their commitment to the CYSP program’s core values: character development, academic excellence, community service, and physical fitness.
Throughout the year, our CYSP scholars embarked on a series of enriching trips and activities that helped shape their leadership skills and broaden their horizons. Among the highlights:
Kentucky State University Visit
Scholars explored the campus of Kentucky State University, where they gained firsthand insight into college life, academic programs, and the value of higher education.
National Museum of the U.S. Air Force: A visit to the Air Force Museum inspired our students with stories of innovation, bravery, and the history of aviation and military service.
Leadership Camp at YMCA Camp Wilson
This immersive experience challenged our scholars to step out of their comfort zones, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and connect with peers in a dynamic outdoor setting.
During the awards ceremony, several students took the stage to share reflections on what CYSP has meant to them. They spoke about the new friendships they formed, the confidence they gained, and the lessons they learned about responsibility, perseverance, and service. One scholar shared, "CYSP taught me how to be a leader not just in school, but in my community and at home."
We are incredibly proud of our CYSP scholars and thankful to the dedicated mentors, staff, and families who support them on their journey. The awards ceremony was not just a celebration of medals, but a celebration of growth, courage, and future potential.
