The MISSION of CYSP is to improve students' academic success, prepare them for college, and develop strong character by nurturing and empowering them through Personal Development, Community Service, Physical Activities, and Educational Adventures. This year, we were thrilled to see this mission come to life through the exceptional accomplishments of our students.
We had the honor of recognizing 19 Gold Award winners, each receiving a $100 prize for their outstanding commitment and performance. Additionally, 4 students were awarded the Silver Award, earning $50 each for their impressive efforts.
Highlights of the Year:

Academic Excellence: Our scholars consistently pushed their boundaries, achieving new academic heights. From mastering challenging STEM concepts to excelling in creative writing, their dedication was evident in every project and assignment. Special highlights included the weekend robotics programs, where students built and programmed their own robots, and cooking classes that combined fun with practical life skills.

Community Service: Students actively engaged in community service projects, demonstrating compassion and leadership. Memorable moments included organizing a successful food drive for local families in need and participating in neighborhood clean-up events.

Personal Development: Throughout the year, students participated in various workshops and seminars aimed at building strong character and essential life skills. They learned about time management, effective communication, and goal setting, equipping them with tools for lifelong success.

Physical Activities: Emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle, our students took part in numerous physical activities. They enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball, fostering teamwork and resilience.

Educational Adventures: The program offered exciting educational adventures, including:
- A visit to the US Airforce base, where students learned about aviation and military careers.
- A two-night stay at YMCA Camp Wilson, where they participated in outdoor activities and team-building exercises.
- A visit to the University of Kentucky, providing insight into college life and inspiring future aspirations.
- A fun-filled day of bowling, combining leisure with social bonding.
We ENVISION that CYSP’s structure and devoted, nurturing community build self-motivated, eager learners who are prepared for the future and ready to lead a successful life. This vision was clearly reflected in the achievements of our students this year.
One particularly inspiring moment from the year was when our scholars took a trip to the University of Kentucky, where they met with professors and students, toured cutting-edge laboratories, and even got a glimpse into dorm life. This trip not only motivated them academically but also solidified their aspirations for higher education.
The award ceremony was filled with joy and pride as each student's name was called, and they received their well-deserved accolades. Parents, teachers, and peers cheered, celebrating the hard work and determination that led to this moment of recognition.
