The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati champions the development of literacy in the individual, the family, the workplace, the school, and the community by raising awareness, improving access, and serving as a catalyst for literacy efforts.
They are a nonprofit organization that serves as the contact center for literacy programs in the tri-state area.
They will be partnering with HSA-Cincy to provide a multi-sensory approach to teach children with severe reading deficiencies or symptoms of dyslexia how to read. Classes for up to eight students are held one hour a day, four days a week for two school years.
At the completion of the program, students gain an average of 2 grade levels in word attack skills.
